Camouflage is an essential survival strategy in the prey-predator relationship, helping prey to escape detection and predators to sneak up on prey, whether on land or in the ocean. Discover animals that hide, defy, and trick as The Art of Deception features amazing survival strategies from undersea habitats including rocky reef, coral reef, kelp forest, sandy sea floor, and the open ocean. Engaging rhymes throughout the experience help visitors open their eyes to explore what's not so evident at first glance. Exploring the "rhyme and reason" of ocean camouflage is fun for all ages in The Art of Deception exhibit at Birch Aquarium at Scripps.
