purchase by Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery. All aquarium exhibits
are open for viewing. All Green Flash Concerts are open to adults ages 21 and up.
What is a Green Flash?
A
rare optical phenomenon, green flashes are usually seen as the sun sets
(or rises) on a clear horizon, such as over the ocean. A brilliant green
hue is viewed in the upper edge of the sun. This flash is caused mostly
by refraction (blue light from the sun bends more than other light wave
lengths). Green Flashes often are seen from Birch Aquarium's Preuss
Tide Pool Plaza.
