Snorkeling at La Jolla Shores
Snorkeling Adventures (June-September)
Take the plunge with experienced naturalists as you explore La Jolla's beaches underwater. Intermediate swimming ability is required and previous snorkeling experience is recommended. Participants will meet naturalists at off-site location and must supply their own gear. Ages 10+ (ages 10-13 must be accompanied by a paid adult) Choose from two snorkeling adventures.
Snorkel with the Sharks
Swim with schooling leopard sharks, smoothhound sharks, and guitarfish while enjoying the mild surf and gently sloping beach of La Jolla Shores and the adjacent rocky reef. See rays, flatfish, sand dwelling invertebrates, and coastal sea life with Scripps naturalists.
Snorkel La Jolla Cove
Snorkel world-renowned La Jolla Cove, part of the La Jolla State Marine Conservation Area. Garibaldi, lobsters, and octopuses are star attractions in this calm, picturesque cove.
