The Ellen Browning Scripps Pier
Full Moon Pier Walk (June-October)
Although
this La Jolla landmark is usually closed to the public, you can walk
the length of the Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier with a Scripps
naturalist under a full moon. Participants will learn about the history
of the pier and current research projects while collecting plankton,
performing experiments, and exploring the nocturnal habits of marine
life. Program includes a special souvenir for each participant. Ages 9+
(ages 9-13 must be accompanied by a paid adult)
